Njuguna Muchiri Launches Youth Skills Revolution Initiative
Hon. Njuguna Muchiri has today unveiled a bold new initiative aimed at equipping over 100,000 young Kenyans with market-driven skills and startup capital as part of his vision for the 2027 General Election.
The Njuguna Muchiri Youth Empowerment Program will focus on digital literacy, modern agriculture, technical skills (plumbing, electrical, tailoring, coding), and entrepreneurship training. The program will partner with technical institutions, successful local entrepreneurs, and innovation hubs across the country.
Speaking at the launch event attended by hundreds of enthusiastic young people, Muchiri said:
β€œOur youth are not the problem β€” they are the solution. For far too long, they have been left with promises and no opportunities. I am committed to changing that story. Every young person deserves a real chance to succeed.”
Key highlights of the initiative include:

Free or highly subsidized skills training in over 20 vocational areas
Startup grants of up to KSh 100,000 for top graduates
Mentorship programs linking youth with established business leaders
Special focus on young women and persons living with disabilities

Several youth leaders present at the launch expressed strong support, describing the move as β€œlong overdue and genuinely practical.”
Muchiri further challenged the current leadership, stating that real change must begin with investing in the potential of Kenya’s biggest demographic β€” the youth.
This bold step has already sparked massive conversations online and on the ground, positioning Hon. Njuguna Muchiri as a leader who is not just talking about solutions, but actively creating them.
The campaign team announced that registration for the first cohort of the Youth Skills Revolution will begin in the coming weeks.
